CHALLENGE
One of the biggest problems in Mumbai slums is lack of education. Many people below the poverty line do not send their children to school. Illiterate children often do odd jobs to make a living. This is wrong. Our college YIN group plans to visit slums in Malad to spread the message of education among the disadvantaged. Of course, we know this will be a difficult task, but we are determined to achieve it.

We, youngsters, from a privileged background are lucky to be educated. However many poor children do not get this advantage. As a YIN member, I am determined to help educate people around me.

EXPERT ADVICE
YIN is a very good initiative by Sakal Media Group and Delivering Change Foundation. If we want to bring about change, we must work towards it. I am happy that our YIN members have taken the initiative to spread the message of education among the people in the slums. I have faith in our students and I am confident that they will make this happen. My support will always be with them.

My family is educated. So their approach towards education has helped me tremendously. However, poor people are not so lucky. If change has to happen in our country, we need to ensure everyone gets access to education.
