Method

YIN provides students a unique opportunity of exposure and experiential learning by participating in live projects and programmes that have direct outcomes in the transformation of their communities at the state, national and international levels. This is achieved through the mechanism of YIN Forums.

Forum Mechanism

YIN Forum is a group of around 15 college students that come together and participate in various projects and programmes to achieve community level outcomes. The forum mechanism allows the students to meet in a formal environment where ideas are encouraged, consensus is reached and stakeholders are identified for each project. The students have the freedom to choose projects/activities/advocacy drives which have a transformative impact on society at large. The concept of Forums has been adapted from the concept of YPO, which has helped diverse groups of CEOs from across the world to achieve success.
Working through YIN forums, members get access to opportunities and pathways for personal, professional and societal growth.
“A YIN forum is characterized by the following attributes: Confidentiality, Commitment, Protocol, Leadership and Values.”
