Principals confident of students’ development through YIN
Sakalnagar: Principals of various colleges have assured support for the youths participating in the Young Inspirators Network (YIN).
Principals from 35-odd colleges who attended a meeting convened by the Sakal Media Group to inform them about YIN, assured that they would inspire students to go for innovative thinking.
Apoorva Palkar, COO of Sakal International Learning Centre (SILC) and Rupal Sancheti, project head shared details regarding YIN.
Palkar stressed on the principals’ role in the overall development of the students and their thinking capability.
Sudhakar Jadhvar, one of the principals who participated in the meet, said, “A principal’s role is very important in the students’ development and they can reach out to thousands of students at a time. The mindset of this generation is changing and principals have to channelise it as it will help in the country’s development.”
Chandrakant Rawal, another principal, said, “YIN will help to channelise the students’ technical skills and these skills will help in their development.”
Principal Arun Andhale said that students will understand their responsibility towards society and various problems will get solved through the YIN.
Principal Rajendra Zunjarrao, who focused on positive energy through YIN activity, said, “Urban students have energy but this energy will be channelised through Sakal’s initiative.”
Principal Sanjay Kharat said that the initiative will make students multidimensional.
Principal Manjushree Bobade said that such activities will engage students in social work and give them a platform to do some creative work for the society.
‘Get Inspired’ badge
All the principals were given a ‘Get Inspired’ badge. Principal Vijay Kulkarni said, “I have never put on any badge before. To inspire students, I will put this badge so that students can ask me about it and I can share more about YIN and
Young ambassadors
Rupal Sancheti, YIN project director said, “This is an initiative to inspire the youth. Youths are full of energy and ideas. Initiatives like YIN will help in bringing them up. A principal’s role is also important in the networking of colleges. Two students will be chosen as a part of this initiative and will be trained about YIN. These students will act as ambassadors in their colleges.”
