Pharmacy Students In Nashik to Collect, Distribute Medicines
CHALLENGE
Good health services are not affordable to people from economically weaker sections of society. Lack of awareness about health issues is rampant as their primary concern is to feed the family. Considering this, Young Inspirations Network (YIN) members of NDMVP College of Pharmacy, Nashik, have decided to collect medicines and give it to the needy. Under the initiative, YIN members will collect unused medicines (after checking expiry date) from households and distribute it to the needy. The students will also help create awareness about health-related issues among the underprivileged.
ACTION PLAN
Being pharmacy students, the members have good knowledge of medicines. Therefore, they will not only check necessary details like expiry date, etc. of the medicines, but will also distribute medicines as per requirements. These students will also appeal to their relatives and friends to do the same. The YIN members will be creating a medicine bank and will distribute medicines through government or other available channels. They will also involve medical professionals in the project.
