The final day of the ninth edition of ‘Innovision-2015’ saw thrilling contests among students of various colleges.
‘Innovision-2015,’ organised by Jayawant Shikshan Prasarak Mandal’s (JSPM’s) Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering in Tathawade, aims to encourage students to develop their social views as well as technical skills through various events and competitions.
More than 5,000 engineering, management and diploma students from 150 colleges across the country participated in the event.
Sakal Media Group’s Young Inspirators Network (YIN) is the youth activity partner for the event, which is a platform for the students to bring up ideas for making India a cleaner country.
On Day 2, the major attractions were the several robotics competitions like Robo-Race, Line-Follower, IC engine racing, Robo-Pac, Robo-League and Manual Robotics competitions. The F-league football event attracted a huge crowd. Students made great efforts to make the Robo Race track and the event was a big hit. All the events received a huge response from the students.
“Every year, we work on a particular theme, which focuses on social issues. This time, the theme was ‘Clean India Green India’, where the young generation has arranged special events like movie making, poster presentation, PPT presentation and many other events where students would suggest solutions for healthy sanitation practices,” said Vice Principal of the institute, AS Devastate. Many companies supported the event by sponsoring prizes and mementos.
Prof TJ Sawant, Founder-Secretary, JSPM, took the initiative to make this event a success.
