Focus on team power at YIN summer camp

Pune: “Knowledge is true strength and it should be backed by substantial thinking power to achieve success. Successful people don’t blame others or their circumstances, they strive for greatness by defying all the odds,” said educationalist and social worker Prashant Gadak.

He was speaking at a summer camp ‘Chala Ghaduya Deshasathi’ organised by the Sakal Media Group’s Young Inspirators Network (YIN). He also added that one should not limit oneself to academic knowledge but also gain extra knowledge by rigorous reading.

The three-day camp organised by YIN concluded with an overwhelming response by students on Friday. Participants engaged themselves in various activities and attended sessions by motivational speakers.

Director of the Institute of Industrial And Computer Management And Research Abhay Kulkarni conducted a session on the topic ‘Express to Impress’. Veteran Marathi actress Tejaswini Sonari spoke about ‘Careers in the Film Industry’ and Anand Kale of Persistent Systems gave insights about ‘Developing a Mobile App’.

“The young generation should take pride in working in a team and work in alignment with each other. The students should have a motivational drive to learn new things everyday, only then this will make you rise everytime,” said Kulkarni. He guided the students on the topic ‘Role of Youths in Social Betterment’.

MLA Gautam Chabukswar and Anil Valsagkar of the Maharashtra Education Society were also present at the closing ceremony.
The event concluded with various cultural performances by students. In all, 22 groups of students participated and two groups, ‘Zero Bangaya Hero’ and ‘YINs Rising Star’ bagged the prizes. The main sponsor of the event was Panchshil Group. Suryadutta Group of Institutes, SNBP Group, HCMR Group, JSPM Group, Pimpri-Chinchwad College of Engineering, Garware College, Mahavir Jain Hostel, BMCC, Vidya Pratishathan Hostel and Pune Water Bottle Association also contributed in various forms.
